PRARAMBH 2026

We had the opportunity and the honour to attend PRARAMBH 2026 organised by the Income Tax Department at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

The theme centred on “Policy Reform and Responsible Action for Mission Viksit Bharat”brought together some compelling perspectives on the future of India’s tax ecosystem, compliance, and governance.

With the new income tax framework set to be launched from 1st April, the discussions with honourable PCCIT (Exemption), Delhi Shri Debjyoti Das felt especially timely, marking a significant shift towards a more streamlined and forward-looking regime.

What truly stood out were the words of wisdom by the honourable Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman and her closing note which ended on a poetic and a forward-looking tone:

“Chhoddo kal ki baatein, kal ki baat purani,
Naye daur mein likhenge milkar income tax ki nayi kahani… hum Hindustani.”

A powerful reminder that reforms are not just about policy shifts, but about collective intent and participation from all the stakeholders in shaping what lies ahead.

Great interactions, fresh perspectives, and a lot to take back.
